wikipedia
The Student Town in Krakow, built since 1964 according to the design of Professor Tomasz Piotr Mańkowski, is an innovative residential and service complex. Club Studio, located at 4 Budryka Street, was initially a canteen and was transformed into an event venue in 2004, managed by the ACADEMICA Foundation, which aims to support student culture. Between 2004 and 2016, over 1,100 cultural events took place there, including concerts by artists such as Andrzej Poniedzielski, Kora, Dawid Podsiadło, and international bands like Cannibal Corpse and Helloween. From 2016 to 2019, the club underwent modernization, adding a modern music studio, excellent acoustics, and a diverse cultural program, including a restaurant brewery. The new architecture, designed by Jerzy Stożek, features a modern style with the use of corten steel and climbing greenery, while the interiors are furnished with elegant, durable materials. The club offers a rich cultural program, organizing annual events and artistic festivals such as Sophiscapes. The building is fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, highlighting its openness to diverse users. Club Studio has become an important landmark on the map of Krakow, promoting culture and entertainment within the student community.
