Barczewo

Barczewo is an urban-rural municipality located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in the Olsztyn County, with its seat in the town of Barczewo. The municipality, which is home to approximately 18,000 residents, has a significant rural portion, making it an area of considerable demographic and natural diversity. The total area of the municipality is 319.85 km², of which 52% is agricultural land and 31% is forested, reflecting its agricultural character and natural richness. Barczewo constitutes 11.26% of the area of Olsztyn County. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Olsztyn Voivodeship.
