The Feliks Nowowiejski Music Salon in Barczewo is a museum dedicated to the life and work of the composer Feliks Nowowiejski, located in his family home, which has served as an institution since 1961. The museum was opened on July 15, 1961, coinciding with the fifty-first anniversary of the premiere of "Rota." It currently operates under the Barczewo Center for Culture and Promotion of the Municipality. The collection includes memorabilia of Nowowiejski, such as photographs, sheet music, documents, as well as his piano, tailcoat, and death mask. The exhibition also features original furniture from his family home, along with historic stoves and 19th-century religious sculptures. This place combines architectural aspects with the history and culture of the region. The museum is also the organizer of the Feliks Nowowiejski International Festival of Choral Music, as well as various concerts and exhibitions. Since February 2014, the museum has been closed due to renovations.
