The Dobre Miasto Deanery, one of the 21 Roman Catholic deaneries in the Archdiocese of Warmia, comprises 14 parishes. Among the parishes included in the deanery are the Parish of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Brąswałd and the Parish of the Most Holy Savior in Głotowo. Dobre Miasto, as the main center of the deanery, has historically played a significant role in the region; it is here that we find parishes with fascinating histories and beautiful architecture, such as churches with structures dating back to various eras. Until September 15, 2022, the deanery consisted of 9 parishes, but development and changes in church structures contributed to its significant expansion. The deanery borders others, such as Barczewo, Orneta, and Olsztyn III – Gutkowo, which fosters cultural and spiritual exchange with neighboring communities. Interestingly, many churches in the deanery are characterized by unique architecture, and their history is often linked to important regional events, making this area intriguing for tourists and researchers alike. Over the centuries, these places have not only been centers of religious life but also cultural hubs, gathering local traditions and customs around them.
