Brwinów is an urban-rural municipality in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Pruszków County, with historical significance that extends over the area of the former Helenów and Letnisko-Brwinów communes. The seat of the municipality is Brwinów, which was part of the Warsaw Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. As of the end of 2012, the municipality had a population of 23,241. Its distinctive shape means that the southern areas, including the villages of Owczarnia, Żółwin, and Terenia, are separated from the main part by the towns of Milanówek and Podkowa Leśna, forming a municipal exclave. The municipality covers an area of 69.16 km², of which 74% is agricultural land and 7% is forested. Brwinów is an important point on the regional map, boasting beautiful green areas and convenient access to the capital. Among its 15 village districts are Biskupice, Czubin, Domaniew, and Żółwin.
