The Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Mordy is a Roman Catholic parish church located in the Łosice deanery of the Siedlce diocese. The brick temple was built in 1737 through the efforts of Balcer Ciecierski, the stolnik (court steward) of Drohiczyn, and was consecrated by Andrzej Stanisław Załuski, the Bishop of Lutsk. The church represents the Baroque style with visible elements of Neoclassicism. Its layout takes the form of a Latin cross, and the building is oriented. The church consists of two pairs of low chapels adjoining the nave and a three-sided enclosed presbytery, along with additional spaces such as a treasury, a porch, and a sacristy. A distinctive feature of the facade is its elliptical shape, projecting forward from the main body of the temple, and its high plinth-style ground floor. The church’s furnishings are rich and include a classicist main altar from 1787, Baroque side altars from the first half of the 17th century, a pulpit, and stalls from the second quarter of the 18th century, as well as paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries, including works by Józef Buchbinder. This place not only serves a spiritual function but is also a valuable architectural monument, reflecting the history of local culture and art.
