Mordy is an urban-rural commune in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Siedlce County. Between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the former Siedlce Voivodeship. The seat of the commune is the town of Mordy, which, as of June 30, 2004, had a population of 6,400 people. The commune covers an area of 170.17 km², dominated by agricultural land (74%) and forests (19%), and constitutes 10.61% of the county's total area. The region includes numerous village administrative units (sołectwas), such as Czepielin, Klimonty, Radzików, and Rogóziec, with the village of Ostoje also holding the status of a sołectwo. The commune borders other municipalities, including Łosice, Przesmyki, Siedlce, and Zbuczyn, among others. Due to its location, Mordy features rural architecture and infrastructure characteristic of the region, reflecting local traditions.
