wikipedia
Dolice is a rural municipality located in the western part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Stargard County, with its administrative seat in the village of Dolice. The municipality ranks 39th in terms of area and 48th in terms of population in the voivodeship. Its northern boundary is defined by the Ina River and its tributary, the Mała Ina, which are popular destinations for kayaking tourism. The area is home to the "Dęby Sądowskie" nature reserve, and forests cover 18% of the municipality's area, while agricultural land constitutes 72%, including 59% farmland. The municipality is well-connected thanks to the provincial road No. 122 and railway lines, which have been operational in Dolice since 1847 and were electrified in 1978. Today, the area is served by two railway stations and three stops. Among the notable heritage sites in Dolice is the Baroque Church of Christ the King, featuring a richly decorated interior, including an altar, pulpit, and baptismal font. Points of interest also include traditional half-timbered houses and the Aleja Dębów Sądowskich (Sądów Oaks Avenue). The municipality has an active post office and maintains balanced finances—in 2016, budget revenues amounted to PLN 29.8 million, expenditures to PLN 28.2 million, with public debt at PLN 3.7 million. Dolice, formerly part of the Szczecin Voivodeship until 1998, is a place where history intertwines with nature and tradition, attracting both tourists and residents.
