Śródmieście-Wschód is a district in the center of Łódź, functioning as an auxiliary unit of the municipality. It covers an area of approximately 3 km² and is home to 20,031 residents. The architecture here is predominantly historical, characterized by tenement houses from the 19th and early 20th centuries, highlighting the city’s rich architectural heritage. Among the buildings are also repurposed post-industrial structures, now serving as schools, as well as a few constructions from the 1950s.
