wikipedia
The Evangelical Church of the Holy Trinity in Bolków, built in 1855, is located at the intersection of Kamiennogórska and Niepodległości Streets. It is a modern structure that replaced an earlier wooden Protestant church from 1742, which was demolished due to its poor technical condition. The current building, capable of accommodating 850 people, lost part of its tower in 1945, and its bells disappeared under unknown circumstances. The church holds not only religious but also cultural significance, as it now houses the Bolków Historical and Artistic Gallery ARS ET HISTORIA, which promotes local history and art. Throughout its history, the church has undergone numerous upgrades and changes. In 1922, a 26-voice organ by Schlag & Söhne was installed, along with electric lighting and underfloor heating in later years. A significant event was the installation of new bells in 1926 and the consecration of plaques commemorating Bolków residents who died in World War I. The Evangelical Church of the Holy Trinity not only reflects the rich history of Protestantism in Bolków but also serves as a venue for social and cultural gatherings, bridging the past with the present.
