wikipedia
The Evangelical Church in Miłosław, located at 21 Zamkowa Street, is a historic building constructed between 1874 and 1875 for the local Evangelical congregation. It features a uniform nave with a three-sided enclosed presbytery and a tall, square tower topped with a tented roof. The interior of the church is adorned with a wooden gallery supported by columns, and the entire structure is surrounded by a neo-Gothic brick wall and metal railings. After World War II, the building was abandoned and for some time served cultural purposes, though it required renovation. In 2009, the Miłosław municipality transferred its use to the Września County for 25 years, and in 2016, the building became the full property of the county. The site was renamed the "Zamkowa" County Cultural Stage and has since become a hub of vibrant cultural life. It hosts concerts by renowned artists such as Irena Santor, Eleni, and Myslovitz, as well as literary evenings with winners of the Kościelski Foundation Award. Notable recurring events include the Great Nighttime Reading, which features prominent figures from Polish literature and culture. Through these initiatives, the Evangelical Church in Miłosław has taken on a new role as an important cultural center in the region while preserving its historical character.
