Miłosław is an urban-rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Września County, with its seat located in the town of Miłosław. The municipality covers an area of 132.26 km², of which 59% is agricultural land and 30% is forest land. As of the end of June 2021, Miłosław had a population of 10,070 people. The municipality includes numerous village administrative districts, such as Białe Piątkowo, Gorzyce, Orzechowo, and many others, as well as several smaller settlements, including Bagatelka and Chrustowo. The heritage sites of the Miłosław municipality hold significant architectural and historical value. Within its territory, there are 19 historical monuments, including the Filipinist monastic complex in Biechów, which consists of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the years 1734–1750 and a monastery dating from 1725–1765. In Biechów, visitors can also explore an 18th-century monastic garden, which is listed in the register of historical monuments. Another notable site is the "Bażantarnia" Hunting Lodge in Bugaj, representing the mid-19th-century architectural style. Bugaj is also home to other historical landmarks, such as a farmstead from the first half of the 19th century, a forge, and a former forestry office building from 1849. In Czeszewo, the wooden Church of St. Nicholas from 1792 and an former 18th-century inn are particularly noteworthy. Mikuszewo is home to a palace complex from the late 19th century, comprising a palace and a park, both of which are under conservation protection. In Nowa Wieś Podgórna, visitors can find a hunting manor from the early 19th century, reflecting the local hunting traditions. The Miłosław municipality also boasts cultural richness, thanks to its diverse population and active community life. Neighboring municipalities, such as Dominowo, Krzykosy, and Września, contribute to the culturally vibrant landscape of the region.
