wikipedia
Faliszówka is a village in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in the Krosno County, known for its charming mountainous surroundings and rich history. Situated at an altitude of 300–412 meters above sea level, it is part of the Jasło Foothills, surrounded by forests and mountains, with the Chlebianka River flowing nearby. The history of Faliszówka dates back to at least the 14th century, and the first written records of the village come from 1415. Over the centuries, it was a noble-owned estate, and its inhabitants were engaged in agriculture. In the 19th century, the village was relocated from a higher-lying area to a lower one due to a cholera epidemic, and Faliszówka also became home to a wooden manor and manorial ponds. In the first half of the 20th century, a primary school was established, and during World War II, the village was the site of tragic events, including the execution of Jews by the Schutzpolizei. After the war, during the communist era, the residents of Faliszówka built a new school and a Community Center with a volunteer fire department. In 2000, the Parish of the Good Shepherd was established, and the village gained further prominence thanks to the activities of the Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1953. Faliszówka is also known for its "Orzeł" People's Sports Club, which promotes sports, especially football. A characteristic architectural feature is the shift in construction, where wooden houses and farm buildings are being replaced by brick structures. Faliszówka, with its rich history and local culture, is an interesting place that blends tradition with modernity.
