Located at 26–29 św. Gertrudy Street in Kraków, Hotel Royal occupies four historic townhouses, the oldest of which dates back to the 19th century and is built in the Art Nouveau style. Before World War II, each of these buildings housed a different hotel: Royal, Union, City, and Garnizonowy. Interestingly, during the occupation, the complex served as accommodation for German soldiers, and after the war, until 1954, it housed the Command of the Kraków Military District, later becoming an officers' casino and a garrison hotel. Throughout its history, Hotel Royal has hosted many distinguished guests, including presidents and prime ministers of Poland, as well as representatives from other countries. Today, the hotel offers 99 rooms, including elegant apartments with views of Wawel Castle, along with conference facilities, a restaurant, and a café. Its services are provided at a three-star standard. Renovated in 2022, the view of its restaurant from the Planty Park adds to its charm, blending architectural appeal with Kraków's rich history and cultural tradition.
