The municipality of Jaworze, located in the southern part of the Silesian Voivodeship, covers an area of 21.32 km² and is predominantly covered by forests (51%) and agricultural land (39%). Administratively, it belongs to the Bielsko County and is part of the Cieszyn Silesia Euroregion. From 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Bielsko Voivodeship. Jaworze, which is over 700 years old, is a foothill agricultural and tourist settlement consisting of several hamlets. Historically, the municipality is known for its health resort qualities, gained after the discovery in the 19th century of water sources rich in iodine-bromine salts, which attract people with health issues. Jaworze features numerous tourist trails and holiday-recreational institutions. Geographically, the municipality lies within the Cieszyn Foothills, at the threshold of the Silesian Beskids, with picturesque valleys and mountain ridges such as Błotny or Bucznik. The diverse topography favors outdoor activities, including skiing and cycling trips. The mayors of the municipality have played various roles throughout history, changing their titles over the years, which demonstrates the region's rich self-government tradition. Jaworze is not only a place with interesting architectural heritage but also a vibrant culture that attracts tourists and residents who eagerly participate in local events. In 2018, the municipality was inhabited by 7,299 people, reflecting a diverse community. An interesting fact is that the municipality borders the Bielsko Agglomeration, making it a transportation hub and a place of significant tourist and recreational importance in the region.
