Jeżowe

The Jeżowe Commune, located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Nisko County, is a place rich in history and culture. Its administrative seat is the village of Jeżowe, which had a population of approximately 10,100 people according to 2020 data. The commune covers an area of 123.93 km², accounting for 15.76% of Nisko County's total area, with the majority of its land consisting of agricultural areas (65%) and forests (30%). It is worth noting that between 1975 and 1998, the commune belonged to the Tarnobrzeg Voivodeship. Jeżowe is divided into 15 village districts (sołectwa), including localities such as Cholewiana Góra, Groble, and Krzywdy. The commune also includes hamlets, reflecting the diversity of its local communities. Its international cooperation includes a partnership with the Austrian municipality of Atzenbrugg since 1994 and with the Drohobych Raion in Ukraine since 2002, highlighting Jeżowe's openness and international connections. Another interesting aspect is the commune's proximity to larger urban centers, as well as its development strategy, which incorporates cultural and architectural elements, making it an attractive destination for tourists and potential investors.
