Karpacz Deanery

The Karpacz Deanery, one of the 28 Roman Catholic deaneries in the Diocese of Legnica, is located in the picturesque Karkonosze region, previously known as the Mysłakowice Deanery. It comprises 10 parishes, each with its own distinctive architectural and cultural features. The Parish of St. John the Baptist in Bukowiec stands out with its beautiful wooden church, typical of local building traditions. The Parish of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Karpacz is a popular attraction for tourists, renowned for its Neo-Gothic church with unique stained-glass windows. The Parishes of St. Hedwig of Silesia in Karpniki and Miłków highlight the region’s historical heritage, where old architecture and natural beauty are set against a mountainous backdrop. In Kowary, the Parish of the Holy Name of Mary reveals traces of bygone eras when the town was an important industrial center for mineral mining.
