Wólka Konopna is a village in the Lublin Voivodeship, serving as a administrative district (sołectwo) within the municipality of Trzebieszów. Established in the 19th century, it was the seat of the Krasusy municipality until 1927. The village has approximately 155 inhabitants (2011 data), and Roman Catholic residents belong to the Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Poland in Zembry. The history of Wólka Konopna is rich with legendary tales, including one about the origin of the name Krasusy, linked to a king and his squire named Kraska. The area also held strategic historical importance as the site of a battle in 1264 between Bolesław the Chaste and the Yotvingians. In the 19th century, the region was known as the noble settlement of Krasusy, comprising multiple hamlets. Architecturally, the village is notable for its Primary School building, constructed in the 1940s and 1950s through the initiative of local residents. This school replaced an earlier wooden building that had housed the Municipal Office. Wólka Konopna also has its own chapel. An interesting fact is that until the 1950s, the largest number of people with the surname Krasuski lived in this village, highlighting its historical significance in the region. The rural area, with its beautiful nature and geographical setting, has fostered the development and preservation of local culture among its inhabitants, which remains an integral part of the village's identity.
