Krasnobrodzki Landscape Park, established in 1988, covers an area of 9,390 hectares, with a buffer zone of 30,794 hectares. It is located in the Lublin Voivodeship in the Middle Roztocze region. Its purpose is to protect unique natural, historical, and landscape values, including forest complexes, especially fir forests. The park is characterized by diverse landscapes, featuring hills exceeding 350 meters above sea level, valleys, and watercourses, with the Wieprz River as the most important waterway. The park is home to many rare species of plants and animals, including badgers, wild boars, and lesser spotted eagles. Within its area, there are two forest reserves preserving beautiful sections of fir forests. Numerous historical monuments can be found within the park, mainly in Krasnobród, such as the 17th-century Leszczyński Palace and a Baroque church with a miraculous image of the Virgin Mary. The region holds cultural significance, tied to local traditions and history. The ruins of the Krasnobród Calvary and Baroque chapels highlight the spiritual dimension of the area. Krasnobrodzki Park is also a tourist attraction, offering developed accommodation facilities, including sanatoriums and holiday centers. Tourism is supported by numerous hiking trails and educational paths, including a route leading through the park's most interesting places, encouraging visitors to explore its natural treasures.
