Józefów Deanery

The Józefów Deanery is one of the 19 Roman Catholic deaneries in the Diocese of Zamość-Lubaczów and comprises seven parishes. These parishes include: Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Aleksandrów, Divine Providence in Bondyrz, St. Stanislaus in Górecko Kościelne, the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Józefów, St. Thomas the Apostle in Majdan Sopocki, St. John Nepomucene in Susiec, and Our Lady of Częstochowa in Tereszpol. The architecture of these parishes showcases a variety of styles, ranging from simple wooden structures to more impressive monumental buildings, reflecting local traditions and the historical influences of the region. Culturally, the area is rich in folk traditions and rituals that are cherished by local communities.
