Krasocin is a rural municipality located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within Włoszczowa County, with its administrative seat in the village of the same name. Historically, the municipality was part of the Kielce Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. It covers an area of 193.89 km², of which 51% is agricultural land and 40% is forested. In 2004, the municipality had a population of 10,804. In terms of architecture, traditional rural buildings can be observed, reflecting local history and culture, while demographic changes have influenced the development of the local community.
Krasocin is situated near several other municipalities, such as Kluczewsko, Łopuszno, and Włoszczowa, which fosters regional cooperation.
