Krzeszyce is a rural municipality located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, within the Sulęcin County. Its administrative seat is the town of Krzeszyce. The municipality covers an area of 194.22 km², of which 42% is agricultural land and 50% is forested. According to data from June 30, 2004, Krzeszyce was inhabited by 4,501 people. Historically, between 1975 and 1998, the municipality belonged to the Gorzów Voivodeship. The area of the municipality includes numerous localities, such as Altona, Brzozowa, and Dzierzążna. Krzeszyce borders several other municipalities, including Bogdaniec, Deszczno, and Sulęcin. It is worth noting that Krzeszyce has a partnership with the German town of Altlandsberg. The municipality is characterized by its extensive forest areas, which promote tourism and outdoor recreation.
