Lipsko is an urban-rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Lipsko County, with its seat in the town of Lipsko itself. The municipality has existed since the 19th century, when in 1870 the area of the abolished town of Lipsko was incorporated into its territory. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Radom Voivodeship. According to data from 2012, the municipality was inhabited by 11,607 people, and by 2019 this number had decreased to 10,970. Interestingly, in 2005, the income per capita was 1,712.03 PLN. The municipality of Lipsko covers a total area of 135.21 km², of which 78% is agricultural land and 15% is forested, making it an attractive area for agriculture and nature. The municipality is divided into numerous village districts (sołectwa), such as Dąbrówka, Huta, and Wola Solecka, and also includes additional localities, including Władysławów and Wólka Krępska. Among the interesting facts, it is worth noting that the municipality constitutes 18.1% of the area of Lipsko County. It is surrounded by neighboring municipalities: Chotcza, Ciepielów, Sienno, Solec nad Wisłą, and Tarłów, which influences its local relations and opportunities for cooperation in various areas. In 2014, an analysis of the age pyramid of the municipality's inhabitants was conducted, which may be significant for planning social and cultural activities. Lipsko has a rich history, as well as diverse natural and architectural resources, making it an interesting place both to live in and to visit.
