The Lubartów Deanery is one of the 28 deaneries within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lublin. It consists of seven parishes, which serve as important centers not only for the faithful but also for local culture and history. The Parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Firlej, the Parish of the Ascension of the Lord in Lisów, as well as the parishes in Lubartów, such as Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Anne, play a key role in the spiritual life of the community. Meanwhile, the Parish of the Divine Mercy in Łucka-Kolonia, St. Ignatius of Loyola in Niemce, St. Mary Magdalene in Serniki, and Christ the Redeemer in Skrobów-Kolonia complete the deanery’s landscape, contributing architectural and historical diversity. The deanery also includes the rectoral church of St. Lawrence the Martyr in Lubartów, an important place of worship and a fine example of sacral architecture. Neighboring deaneries, such as Adamów (Diocese of Siedlce), Czemierniki, Lublin – Podmiejski, and others, form a parish network with Lubartów that fosters cultural and spiritual exchange. The rich history of the region cannot be overlooked, with each church having played its part not only as a place of prayer but also as a center of social life. An interesting fact is that many parishes organize local events, such as parish festivals, which attract residents and promote social integration.
