The commune of Marciszów, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship within Kamienna Góra County, is a picturesque rural municipality covering an area of 81.98 km². According to data from 2002, its land use is predominantly agricultural (53%) and forested (36%), highlighting the importance of farming and the region's beautiful woodland areas, which account for 20.7% of the county's total area. The commune has a rich historical background, having been part of the Jelenia Góra Voivodeship between 1975 and 1998, reflecting its significant administrative history.
The seat of the local government is the village of Marciszów, surrounded by smaller administrative units such as Ciechanowice, Domanów, Nagórnik, Pastewnik, Pustelnik, Sędzisław, Świdnik, and Wieściszowice.
