Monument to Józef Dietl in Krakow

The monument of Józef Dietl, the distinguished mayor of Kraków and rector of the Jagiellonian University, is one of the most significant achievements of memorial art in Poland. Its bronze cast, produced at the Łopieńscy Brothers' foundry in Warsaw, gains value not only due to the material but also because of its artistic concept. The choice of location was exceptional – the monument's creator, Dunikowski, traversed Kraków with a model, searching for the perfect spot, which he ultimately found near the Franciscan Church at All Saints' Square.
