Myślenice

The Myślenice Municipality, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, within the Myślenice County, is an urban-rural municipality covering an area of 153.74 km², of which 53% is agricultural land and 32% is forested. The municipality constitutes 22.83% of the area of Myślenice County. Its seat is the town of Myślenice, which boasts a rich architectural and historical heritage. The town is known for its historic landmarks, such as the Parish Church of St. James, dating back to the 14th century, and other religious buildings representing various architectural styles. Myślenice also serves as an important cultural center with numerous local events, festivals, and initiatives supporting local art and traditions. In terms of demography, the municipality had a diverse age pyramid in 2014, and according to data from September 30, 2006, the population was 40,541, which increased to 44,444 by the end of 2019.
