wikipedia
Nałęczów, a town in the Lublin Voivodeship, is known as Poland's only exclusively cardiological health resort, specializing in the treatment of heart diseases and arterial hypertension. Its microclimate, beneficial for health, supports the rehabilitation of patients after heart attacks. Nałęczów has a rich history dating back to the 8th century when a stronghold was established on Poniatowski Hill. In the 18th century, the town developed thanks to Stanisław Małachowski, who transformed it into a health resort. In the 19th century, through investments by Siberian-exile doctors, local mineral water springs began to be utilized, contributing to the growth of the spa. Nałęczów is home to the historic Spa Park with the Małachowski Palace and many historical sanatorium buildings, such as "Książę Józef" and "Atrium." The town also attracts tourists with its beautiful villa architecture, featuring Swiss and Zakopane styles, among which the villas of famous literary figures, including Stefan Żeromski and Bolesław Prus, stand out. Nałęczów is an important cultural center, organizing various events, including the opening of the Bolesław Prus Museum in 1961. The town also offers numerous tourist trails that encourage hiking and cycling trips. In 2023, a new hotel with a wide range of services is planned to open in Nałęczów, which will certainly contribute to the further development of tourism. Many local businesses collaborate with it, and events related to education and cultural enrichment of the region are held.
