Nałęczów is an urban-rural municipality located in the Lublin Voivodeship, within the Puławy County, with its seat in the picturesque town of Nałęczów. Historically, from 1975 to 1998, the municipality was also part of the Lublin Voivodeship. It currently covers an area of 62.86 km², making it the smallest urban-rural municipality in the region by area. According to demographic data, at the end of 2017, the municipality had a population of 8,955. Nałęczów is known for its green landscape, with 82% of its area dedicated to agricultural land and 7% covered by forests. The municipality occupies just 6.74% of the total area of Puławy County. Between 2010 and 2014, Nałęczów ranked third in a evaluation of tourist municipalities in terms of financial potential development. The town is also renowned for its health resort qualities, attracting tourists from all over Poland. Among the villages within the municipality are Antopol, Bochotnica, Charz, Drzewce, and Strzelce. Nałęczów borders other municipalities such as Garbów, Jastków, Kurów, Markuszów, Wąwolnica, and Wojciechów, making it well-connected and an excellent base for tourists. An interesting aspect of the region is its rich cultural and historical offerings, which attract enthusiasts of architecture and local history. In Nałęczów, visitors can find carefully preserved examples of spa architecture and traditional rural buildings, making the municipality an appealing destination for both tourists and residents.
