wikipedia
Nadgoplański Park Tysiąclecia is a landscape park located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, established by a regulation on December 10, 1992. Its current area is 8,898 hectares, following an earlier expansion to 9,982.71 hectares in 2002. The park was created on the basis of a nature reserve established in 1967, which was dedicated to protecting the breeding grounds of water and marsh birds, as well as the natural values of the area. The park's territory also includes areas protected under the Natura 2000 network, such as the Nadgoplańska Ostoja and Lake Gopło. The nature reserve was divided into a core protected area and a surrounding landscape protection zone. The park's establishment aims to preserve both natural and historical values associated with the beginnings of the Polish state. Since May 5, 2009, part of the park has also been located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, as confirmed by a regulation of the Greater Poland Voivode. This site combines the protection of cultural, natural, and landscape heritage, and its rich fauna and flora, including numerous bird species, make it an interesting destination for nature and history enthusiasts.
