Nakieł is a village located in the Masovian Voivodeship, in Przasnysz County, within the administrative district of Gmina Jednorożec. The name of the village, derived from a rural pasture, refers to the triangular shape of the meadow where animals grazed. Traces of settlement from the Stone and Bronze Ages can be found in the area, and its origins date back to the late 1820s when it was established on the lands of the Krasnosielc estate. Despite having a small population in the 19th century, the village developed dynamically after the emancipation of the peasants in 1864. In later years, Nakieł became part of the parish in Jednorożec, which influenced the cultural life of its inhabitants, as the community participated in religious services and traditions. The Eastern Front of World War I passed near the village, leaving traces in the form of military fortifications. In the 20th century, Nakieł faced challenges such as fires that consumed its wooden buildings. After World War II, the village transformed into a more organized community, with a newly built school and a milk collection point. Today, Nakieł has only a few farms and a small population, but it retains wooden houses and roadside crosses, which contribute to its architectural and cultural value. Nearby is the Murowanka forester's lodge, and the surrounding forest areas are part of the Natura 2000 network. An interesting fact is the adaptation of the disused milk collection point into a hunting lodge by Hunting Club No. 2 "Bażant" from Przasnysz. Nakieł still thrives with life, and its residents cherish their traditions by organizing prayers at the crosses and participating in local events.
