wikipedia
Naramowice is a district of Poznań, located north of the city center, characterized by dynamic residential development and a rich history dating back to the 14th century, when it was mentioned as a noble village. In 1925, Naramowice was incorporated into Poznań, and in the following years, it developed both agriculturally and industrially. After World War II, the area's agricultural and industrial significance declined, which facilitated the creation of new housing estates, such as Osiedle Przy Rezerwacie and Małe Naramowice, inspired by Dutch architectural solutions. The architecture of Naramowice includes both modern buildings and preserved traditional structures, such as chapels and single-family homes. In terms of transportation, since 2022, Naramowice has been served by city trams and buses, significantly improving access to other parts of Poznań. In the cultural sphere, it is worth mentioning the micro cultural center "Lotaryńska 6," established in 2019 in the historic Social Welfare housing estate. Naramowice is also home to the important Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa, as well as numerous green areas, including the Żurawiniec Nature Reserve, which provides residents with opportunities for recreation. An interesting fact is the history of transportation in Naramowice, which in the past included unconventional solutions, such as a passenger tractor during the occupation. The district has gained importance as a residential area, with modern amenities and infrastructure, creating a diverse and attractive living space.
