Poznań Science and Technology Park

The Poznań Science and Technology Park (PPNT) is the first technology park in Poland, established in 1995 on the site of a demolished gas tank in Naramowice, as part of the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation in Poznań. The initiative was spearheaded by Professor Bogdan Marciniec and is currently led by Professor Jacek Guliński. PPNT serves as an innovative hub that supports the development of scientific research and fosters collaboration between the academic and business sectors in the Greater Poland region. It offers a range of professional research services in fields such as chemistry, archaeology, computer science, physics, and economics, as well as providing rental space for businesses and access to state-of-the-art laboratories. The Park's mission is to commercialize research outcomes and stimulate innovation in the region. PPNT comprises various departments, including the Technology Incubator, the Center for Advanced Chemical Technologies, the Innovation Support Center, and laboratories conducting research in numerous disciplines, as well as the Medical Analytics and Diagnostics Center. A notable feature is the support services for young companies and innovations, along with the "Laboratory of Imagination," the region's first science center aimed at children and youth. Architecturally, PPNT's buildings blend modern design with functionality, fostering a creative atmosphere. The Park also includes the "Parkowe Skrzaty" kindergarten for employees' children, highlighting its family-friendly environment. Additionally, the solar-powered DataCenter exemplifies a modern approach to sustainability. Thanks to the diversity of institutions and businesses it hosts, PPNT has become not only a center of innovation but also a significant landmark on Poland's cultural and scientific map. The integration of scientific research with practical technological applications makes PPNT a key player across various industries, contributing to the growth of the regional economy.
