wikipedia
Nienaszów is a village in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Jasło County, boasting a rich history and diverse architectural and cultural assets. The village was founded in the early 14th century as a knight's settlement. In Nienaszów stands the parish church under the patronage of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose history dates back to around 1340. The original wooden church burned down, and a brick one was erected in its place in 1889. Nienaszów is the seat of the parish, indicating the locality's significant religious importance. An extremely interesting aspect is that the village had its own parish school, attended by children from surrounding areas, highlighting the local emphasis on education. During World War II, Nienaszów experienced immense tragedies – the village was pacified three times, and a significant portion of its inhabitants lost their lives or were forced into labor in the Third Reich. After the war, the village lay in ruins, and its population drastically declined. Currently, Nienaszów has about 1,200 residents and retains its rural character, with institutions such as a school, a health center, and a fire station. Among the interesting facts, it is worth mentioning that in 1955, the Tempo Nienaszów People's Sports Club was established here, which achieved sporting success by advancing to a higher competitive league. Nienaszów is divided into two administrative units (sołectwa) and is surrounded by the varied terrain of the Carpathian Foothills, making this place not only historically fascinating but also picturesque in terms of natural beauty.
