wikipedia
Nojewo is a village in Poland, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Szamotuły County, in the administrative district of Pniewy. Its origins date back to the second half of the 13th century. The settlement once held strategic importance and was linked to a major trade and communication route. Historical documents mention the village under various names, with the earliest records dating to 1284. Nojewo was a noble village, and its owners, including the Nojewski and Przystanowski families, shaped its local history for centuries. In 1773, it fell under Prussian rule, and after World War II, it was administratively part of the Poznań Voivodeship. Nojewo is characterized by a picturesque landscape and rich nature, providing a habitat for rare bird species such as the red kite and the crane. At the heart of the village stands a neo-Gothic parish church dedicated to Saint Andrew Bobola, built in 1865 and recognized as a historical monument. Next to the church, there is a monument honoring the victims of World War II. The primary school, with a history dating back to 1934, has long been an important cultural institution for the local community. Additionally, the village features a water pumping station from the 1980s, supplying water to residents. The preserved railway station, now renovated and serving as a museum dedicated to the history of railway lines, attracts tourists interested in transport history. Nojewo is also a tourist attraction due to its location within the Sieraków Landscape Park and its network of hiking trails. The village combines a rich history with unique architectural and natural heritage, making it a fascinating destination to explore.
