Nowa Sól

The rural commune of Nowa Sól, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship, within the Nowa Sól County, is an area with a rich demographic and landscape structure. The seat of the commune is the town of Nowa Sól, which plays an important administrative role. The commune covers an area of 176.21 km², of which 36% is agricultural land and 55% is forest land, highlighting its natural assets. In 2004, the commune was inhabited by 6,541 people, indicating a stable population. The commune borders several other municipalities, such as Bojadła, Bytom Odrzański, Kolsko, Kożuchów, Nowe Miasteczko, Otyń, Siedlisko, and Sława. It is also worth noting its administrative history; before the 1999 reform, it was part of the Zielona Góra Voivodeship. The commune boasts architectural diversity typical of the Lubusz region, with numerous monuments and locally significant buildings, as well as a rich cultural tradition reflected in the organization of local events and festivals. Interestingly, the age structure of the population in 2014 revealed a clear trend of an aging society, which may be an important factor in planning the commune's future activities. This region not only attracts tourists due to its picturesque landscapes but also offers numerous development opportunities for residents thanks to its vast forest and agricultural areas.
