wikipedia
Nowogród Bobrzański is an urban-rural municipality located in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, within the Zielona Góra County, with its administrative seat in the town of Nowogród Bobrzański. The history of the municipality dates back to the post-war years when it was established in 1945 on the Recovered Territories. Initially, it was part of the Kożuchów County and was later incorporated into the Wrocław Voivodeship, followed by the Zielona Góra Voivodeship. In 1954, the municipality was abolished due to an administrative reform, and its area was divided into smaller administrative units called gromadas. The reactivated municipality of Nowogród Bobrzański was re-established on January 1, 1973, encompassing former administrative units. In 1988, a new town was formed from parts of the villages of Krzystkowice and Nowogród Bobrzański. Architecturally, Nowogród Bobrzański is characterized by a diversity of buildings, ranging from historic structures to modern investments, reflecting the dynamic development of the region. The municipality is also rich in forests and agricultural land, contributing to its active agricultural sector. From a cultural perspective, the region stands out for its many traditions and diverse social life, which mirror its complex history. An interesting fact is that the current town is spatially fragmented, posing challenges for development and the integration of local communities. The municipality borders several other administrative units, enriching its cultural life and fostering regional cooperation. Demographically, according to data from 2004, the municipality had a population of 9,299. Thanks to its geographical diversity, Nowogród Bobrzański is an attractive place to live, combining natural beauty with a rich historical heritage.
