Nowy Dwór Gdański

Nowy Dwór Gdański is an urban-rural municipality in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Nowy Dwór County, with its seat in the town of Nowy Dwór Gdański. The region includes 22 village administrative districts (sołectwa), including Gozdawa, Jazowa, Lubieszewo, and Stobna. Historically, the municipality was classified as the Nowy Dwór municipality until 1954, and between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the Elbląg Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 213 km², 83% of which is agricultural land. Demographically, the population was 17,919 in 2004 and decreased to 17,695 by 2019, suggesting certain demographic shifts in the region. The municipality is surrounded by the municipalities of Elbląg, Gronowo Elbląskie, Nowy Staw, Ostaszewo, Stegna, and Sztutowo, making it an important transportation hub.
