Otmuchów

The Otmuchów Commune, located in the Opole Voivodeship within Nysa County, boasts a rich history and a diverse demographic structure. The history of the commune dates back to the post-World War II period when it was part of Grodków County. After the administrative reform in 1975, the Otmuchów Commune expanded to include areas from the abolished Kałków Commune. The region is home to numerous villages such as Broniszowice, Buków, Goraszowice, and Jarnołtów, as well as parts of the town of Otmuchów, including Nieradowice and Śliwice. The commune borders the Czech Republic, which contributes to its cultural diversity.
