Pątnów Commune, located in the Wieluń County of the Łódź Voivodeship, is a typical agricultural administrative unit covering an area of 114.3 km². It is characterized by dominant crops such as grains and potatoes, as well as pig and dairy cattle farming. The clean environment is conducive to beekeeping. The commune has sand deposits, which are exploited in the Załęcze area. The seat of the commune is Pątnów, and its administration includes numerous villages such as Bieniec, Grabowa, and Kamionka. The commune has a well-developed road network, including two national roads and a railway line, facilitating transportation. In terms of political culture, the commune has made history in Polish elections: in 2005, it recorded record support for Samoobrona RP, and in 2007 alone, support reached 30.4%, largely due to the local MP Edward Kiedos. Over the past two decades, the population of the commune has fluctuated between 6,500 and 6,600 people.
