wikipedia
The Parish House in Nowa Sobótka is a neo-Gothic red-brick building constructed in 1907 as the seat of the Mariavite community, which conducted charitable, educational, and care activities there. It is located in the central part of Nowa Sobótka, along the Napoleonic Trail, which connects important points in the region. Architecturally, it stands out with its two-tract layout and a prominently projecting porch-and-balcony risalit, while the façades are adorned with gables featuring characteristic double-pitched roofs. In 1984, the building was entered into the Register of Immovable Monuments of the Łódź Voivodeship. After the dissolution of the order, the Parish House served as a rectory, and in the 1980s, the Mariavite sisters left the building, and the parish took over its management. During World War II, the building served as a shelter for the sick and orphans. In 2015, due to poor technical conditions, it was decided to move the parish office to the rear part of the church. Since 1909, it has housed the Parish Wind Orchestra. Currently, there are plans to transform the building into the Multicultural Center "House at the Crossroads," which is intended to become a place for meetings, dialogue, and social integration, with a rich cultural and educational offer for the residents of the region.
