Piaseczno

Piaseczno is an urban-rural municipality in Poland, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Piaseczno County, and bordering Warsaw. The seat of the municipality, Piaseczno, is the most populous municipality of its type in the country, with a population of 85,226 residents as of the end of 2019. The municipality covers an area of 128.22 km², which constitutes 25.3% of the total area of the county. The demographics of the municipality show a clear difference in population between the town and the villages; the town is home to 48,119 people, while the villages have 35,673 residents. Piaseczno is characterized by a diverse structure of localities, with numerous settlements such as Józefosław, Chylice, and Złotokłos. Historically, the municipality was part of the Warsaw Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998.
