Pleszew is an urban-rural municipality with its seat in the town of Pleszew, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within Pleszew County. Previously, from 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Kalisz Voivodeship. According to data from the end of 2021, the municipality had a population of 29,455. Its area spans 180.15 km², of which 77% is agricultural land and 14% is forested, making Pleszew an attractive destination for nature and agriculture enthusiasts. The municipality covers 25.31% of the total area of Pleszew County. The region is characterized by a rich architectural heritage, including numerous historical monuments.
