Pobiedziska is an urban-rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Poznań County, with its administrative seat located in the town of Pobiedziska. Historically, the town was first mentioned in medieval documents, and its development was closely tied to its location on important trade routes. In 1954, the town lost its status as an independent administrative unit but retained its cultural and historical identity. The municipality covers an area of 189.27 km², which constitutes 9.96% of the total area of Poznań County. The land use structure is dominated by agricultural land (61%) and forests (24%). Demographic data for the municipality indicates a population increase, from 17,624 inhabitants in 2010 to 19,741 in 2019. The presence of the Poznań-Bednary airfield within the municipality highlights its infrastructural development. The municipality comprises 22 village administrative districts (sołectwa), including Bednary, Biskupice, and Jerzykowo, as well as settlements without such status, such as Bugaj and Uzarzewo-Huby.
