The Puszcza Zielonka Landscape Park, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, stretches northeast of Poznań and covers the areas of the municipalities of Czerwonak, Kiszkowo, Murowana Goślina, Pobiedziska, and Skoki. Established in 1993, the park aims to protect the largest natural forest complex in the region, which boasts high natural and educational value. Its total area is 12,202 hectares, with forests covering approximately 80% of it. The park is home to numerous rivers, such as the Warta and Trojanka, as well as lakes, including Czarne and Pławno. The park is surrounded by a buffer zone covering 9,538.55 hectares, which also serves protective functions. Within the park, several nature reserves have been established, including Klasztorne Modrzewie and Jezioro Czarne, as well as ecological areas such as "Mokradła nad Jeziorem Kamińskim." The park hosts a rich variety of fauna, including red deer, roe deer, wolves, and diverse bird species such as white-tailed eagles and black storks. The flora is equally diverse, featuring pines, beeches, oaks, as well as rare plant species like the nine-leaved toothwort and round-leaved sundew. An interesting feature is the natural monument – the Bartek Oak, with a circumference of 740 cm, located in the village of Owińska. The park is not only a protected area but also a site of educational significance, attracting nature enthusiasts and researchers alike. Its unique environment, rich biodiversity, and opportunities for ecological research make it an important feature of the region, drawing tourists and specialists from various fields.
