Poznań University of Economics

Poznań University of Economics and Business, established in 1926 as the College of Commerce, is housed in a monumental building designed by Adam Ballenstaedt and constructed between 1929 and 1932. In 2019, it was recognized as the best economic university in Poland. The institution has undergone numerous transformations—from the College of Commerce to the Academy of Commerce, then the Higher School of Economics, followed by the University of Economics, and finally to its current name. Key milestones in the university's history include gaining the right to confer master's degrees in 1938 and being nationalized in 1950. The university has been led by distinguished academics, including Prof. Marian Gorynia and the current rector, Prof. Maciej Żukowski. The Rectorate building features memorial plaques honoring victims of World War II and outstanding faculty members. UEP consistently ranks highly in both national and international rankings, underscoring its strong academic standing. Between 2013 and 2020, the university received numerous awards, including the "Forge of Talents 2014." Its position in terms of graduate salaries and education quality attracts many ambitious students. UEP actively supports student initiatives through various organizations and scientific clubs, fostering skill development and academic community integration. Notably, the university achieves high ratings in international rankings, such as placing fourth in Eduniversal and holding a significant position in the Webometric Ranking of Business Schools.
