The Praga Koneser Center is a complex of residential, office, and cultural-entertainment facilities, developed on the site of the former Warsaw Vodka Factory "Koneser" in the Praga-Północ district of Warsaw. The history of this place dates back to 1897, when the factory was launched. During the interwar period, it employed over 400 people and produced the most famous vodka brands, such as Wyborowa and Żubrówka. After World War II, production resumed, but over time the plant encountered difficulties and ceased operations in the first decade of the 21st century.
After being acquired by BBI Development, a concept for revitalization emerged, led by renowned architectural firms. The Praga Koneser Center preserves the industrial character of the former factory, combining it with modern buildings in line with European architectural trends. The project involved preserving original architectural elements, which, combined with contemporary lofts and commercial spaces, create a unique atmosphere. The complex features soft-loft-style apartments, restaurants, cafes, shopping galleries, and the Museum of Polish Vodka, which opened in 2018.
In 2017, the central part of the complex was named Koneser Square, becoming a venue for meetings and cultural events. Office spaces were also developed within the complex, as Google opened Campus Warsaw there in 2015, contributing to the growth of the local startup ecosystem. Thus, Koneser is not only an example of successful post-industrial revitalization but also a vibrant cultural space full of attractions and history.
