The Pruszcz Gdański municipality, located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship within the Gdańsk County, is an area entirely situated within the Tricity agglomeration. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality operated as part of the Gdańsk Voivodeship. The municipal office is based in Juszkowo, following its relocation at the beginning of 2020. The municipality consists of 30 village districts, including Borkowo, Straszyn, and Wiślina. Pruszcz Gdański covers an area of 142.56 km², with agricultural land use dominating, accounting for 79% of the territory. From 2004 to 2020, the municipality experienced a dynamic population growth of 97.93%, making it one of the fastest-growing rural municipalities in Poland. Before the education reform, the local education system included 7 primary schools, 4 middle schools, and numerous kindergartens. There are 220 business entities operating within the municipality, reflecting its economic vitality. The municipality has established cooperation with the Italian commune of Trivigliano, indicating its cultural and international aspirations. An interesting aspect is the municipality's involvement in spatial planning, ensuring development aligned with residents' needs. Its proximity to other municipalities, such as Cedry Wielkie and Gdańsk, fosters integration as well as cultural and economic exchange.
