Przysieki

Przysieki is a picturesque village located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Jasło County. It was founded on December 1, 1364, and its name has evolved over the centuries, linked to the defensive fortifications around the stronghold in Trzcinica. The village is known for its rich history, which includes royal privileges and the dominance of various families, including the Jabłonowskis and Stadnickis. In Przysieki, there is a preserved manor complex from the first half of the 19th century, a wooden chapel, and a brick manor house converted into a restaurant. The rural architecture reflects diverse styles, and there are also historic roadside shrines and an electric mill. The culture of Przysieki is vibrant thanks to local institutions such as the community hall, which hosts the Rural Housewives' Circle and the association "Przysieki Nasz Dom," organizing social events. The village is also known for traditional agriculture and the "Dwie Granice" vineyard, established in 2004, which attracts tourists and offers local wines. Przysieki was once home to Zuzanna Stusowska, the oldest resident of Poland, who passed away in 1973 at the age of 107. The residents of Przysieki are generally conservative, as reflected in their electoral preferences. The village also has its sporting traditions, serving as a route for cycling events such as the Tour de Pologne. In terms of transportation, Przysieki is well-connected by a national road and a nearby railway line, although it lost its rail connection in recent years. The village is also home to a Social Self-Help Center, and residents benefit from various forms of health and care support.
