Skołyszyn is a rural municipality located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, within Jasło County. Its administrative seat is the town of Skołyszyn. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Krosno Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 77.92 km², of which 69% is agricultural land and 21% is forested, reflecting its rural character, which is significant for the local community. Skołyszyn constitutes 9.38% of the total area of Jasło County.
